Crawl through the caves, swing through the jungle, slip down the waterfall slide, and scream down the five level spiral slide!

ECFE Drop-in Programs
In addition to Fridley, a number of area school districts, including Roseville, have drop-in play days organized by their ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) programs. Nonresidents are usually welcome. Parents and children play together in a preschool style classroom and sometimes gym. Contact school districts directly for updated information on when/where open.

The zoo and conservatory are both great places to go. The zoo works fine even in the winter as long as its not really cold or raining. The conservatory is a wonderful tropical retreat. Open 10-4 during winter and 10-6 in warmer months. Small donation requested.

Wonderful indoor spot with creative play areas for children. Two of the galleries are updated every few months. Admission is free the third Sunday of the month, but it is crowded. There are also limited free passes available from St. Paul libraries. Anyone with a Ramsey County library card can check them out, but they are very popular.

About 30 minutes from the Shoreview area, but worth the drive. This is a great outing for all types of weather since there are numerous indoor and outdoor places to explore.
Twin City Model Railroad Museum

A great museum especially for train lovers of all ages. They have an incredibly detailed train layout with a few buttons for children to press to control crossing gates and other features. Plus two Thomas-style train tables are available for more hands-on play. During the winter, Saturday nights are a magical night time display well worth visiting.
